SELF-AWARENESS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

The Sanctum Empowerment Group is a research-informed publishing and thought-leadership company examining why people do what they do, beginning with the self.

Through original frameworks, books, lived stories, and critical conversations, we confront narcissism, hidden agendas, fractured thinking, and the distance between public performance and interior truth.

Where healing and becoming begin.

THE FOUNDER

The Life Behind
the Work.

Torrien Jeremy Dilworth Sr.
Founder, The Sanctum Empowerment Group

The Sanctum comes from a life I have had to examine honestly.

I am a father of three. One of my children and I graduated in the same year, each completing a different level of education. Raising my children has been part of my own becoming. So have a failed marriage, grief after tragic loss, and the work of navigating PTSD.

Those experiences made the questions personal: What am I carrying? What am I repeating? What have I accepted as truth about myself that deserves to be challenged?

I refuse to accept flawed assumptions as the definition of who I am. Being radically me also requires responsibility: facing my own contradictions, owning my choices, and remaining willing to change.

People often feel comfortable opening up to me, including strangers. They share parts of themselves they usually keep concealed, including experiences they feel deeply ashamed of. I take that trust seriously. Those conversations deepen my questions about what people reveal, what they protect, and why.

Thinking expansively means looking beyond the first explanation, considering other perspectives, and allowing evidence to challenge a familiar story. It shapes how I turn questions from lived experience and conversation into subjects for research and writing.

That is the work I bring to The Sanctum. We examine the stories we inherit and the ones we tell ourselves. We confront what those stories protect, what they cost, and what a more truthful life requires from us.

In my darkest hour, when no one checked on me unless they needed something from me, I knew I had to check in with myself.

This is The Sanctum.

The Need for
Critical
Self-Confrontation

AWARENESS IS ONLY THE ENTRANCE.

Critical self-confrontation is the courageous practice of examining the truths we resist, especially the truths that require something from us.

01 · PRESENT. Put the experience, belief, or conflict on the table before explaining it.

02 · REFRACT. Examine the lenses shaping your view and consider other perspectives.

03 · DISCERN. Separate what you know from what you assume, infer, or feel.

04 · CONFRONT. Face the truth you resist and the responsibility it asks of you.

05 · INTEGRATE. Let that understanding change how you see yourself and the situation.

06 · PRACTICE. Make the change visible in your choices, conversations, boundaries, and habits.

HEALING REQUIRES MORE THAN RECOGNITION.

SEE THE PATTERN.

NAME THE TRUTH.

CHOOSE DIFFERENTLY.

PRACTICE THE CHANGE.

At The Sanctum, healing is not a performance or a finish line. We slow the story down, name the pattern, examine what it protected, confront what it costs, and practice a more truthful response. This is where awareness becomes agency, and becoming becomes a disciplined way of life.
